April 24, 200521 yr I'm using the latest release, B193. I'm getting stutters like crazy, even with the download throttle checked. I don't recall having serious stutters with the 170 or 180 build, but I'm sure I had a little. Anyhow, will the new version of AS that's coming out have the ability to completely suppression all updates into the destination airport? What's updating that's causing these stutters when only 30 miles out and a suppression range of 100? April 24, 200521 yr Hi Chris,Without download throttling are things better or worse?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
April 24, 200521 yr Author Well, I'm gonna try a flight later and see to be sure, but I think it was the same either way. Planned on taking a flight this afternoon, but I had a kidney stone! :-mad Thanks again! :) - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
April 27, 200521 yr Author I went back to 182. 192/193 was just too slow in it's updates and I think this might have been causing my stutters. I tried several things, but now back to 182 and it updates and loads the weather for the beginning of the trip in half the amount of time. No problems in 182 for me. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
April 27, 200521 yr Hi Chris,Is the problem during the actual download or the processing of the stations?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
April 27, 200521 yr Author I gotta say both. When downloading my weather after importing a flight plan it takes maybe 10 seconds minimum to complete the process. Then in the sim, I get stutters when it appears as though the weather in FS9 is updating. With 182, the whole process at the beginning only takes maybe 4 seconds, and any stutters are hardly recognizable as it seems the weather updates much faster. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
April 28, 200521 yr OK, but with 182 the updates were too fast, causing data errors in FS. That is why we slowed down the processing operation.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
