June 16, 200520 yr Hi,I'm very pleased with the NEW ASV, but I find thebest way to start-up to ensure fresh clouds is to:-1. Start FS9 (Full screen),When the first menu window appears,Window it.2. Start ASV, let it update.3. Maximise FS9, select flight then clear weather via FSUIPC.Pause - window FS9 again.4. Update AI via ASV.6. Maximise FS9 again, then I get true weatherpicture - and correct AI traffic direction. Allis well.May I make a suggestion, If "Update AI" was adropdown in FS9 - or a shortcut via FSUIPC,this would make the system very user friendly!Regards

It is: in FSUIPC pay version you can dedicate a key to set AI to zero and back again, or from within FS04, move the clock a minute forward or back.In your method, you still are using the clouds from you last session, and not your new session.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

June 17, 200520 yr Hi,I don't have the pay version so I don't know the exact name. Pete would know at his forum or ronzie here or any other user may know!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 19, 200520 yr Hi,I do have the pay version, and found the function "traffic density toggle". The setting can be found under the tab "keys". Just program a key with the function "traffic density toggle", and "0" as parameter. Pressing the key then switches between 0% and your former setting. I think it is also explained somewhere in the FSUIPC manual.I wonder why ASV doesn't use this method instead of setting the time forward by 2 minutes, as that seems a bit crude to me. There may be a good reason though.Greetings,Allard. June 19, 200520 yr Hi,Because after re-setting to zero we would then need to set it back to your percent causing two updates of AI insted of one!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 19, 200520 yr Hi Jim,Well, you have to use the "traffic density toggle" twice, but the first time zeroes it, while the second one restores it the original percentage. The traffic is only updated the second time, when it's turned back on. There was a discussion in Peter's forum over at simflight (http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=30816).The way it is done in ASV now also works quite well. What we really need is a true "AI refresh" call in Flightsimulator, but such a function doesn't seem documented, and may not have been built in at all.By the way, you got me thinking about it, and I just discovered that in FSUIPC it is possible to have two commands with one keypress (the other one happens when you release the key again) so I now have both toggles in one keypress.Cheers,Allard. Start ASV and let it complete online update and writingto disc.2. Start FS9, then when you are actually ready to start(ie. after loading start situation, flight plan etc. and your'e ready at the gate)-3. Press **** to update the weather4. Press **** to update AI traffic.5. Let Us Begin!!!!All without having to leave FS9....etc....IDEAL!!RegardsMick
June 20, 200520 yr Hi Mick,Have you tried the Auto Refresh AI on First Wx Set?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
