June 28, 200520 yr Is ASV properly reporting wind gusts to FS?I ask this because the decoder window does not show the gust value and, more importantly, Radar Contact 4 is not reporting wind gusts when it provides ATIS. I checked with another tester (who is using a different weather program) and RC4 does report wind gusts.BTW: I also saw this problem with AS4.5 just before converting over to ASV - I forgot about it until now.Let me know so that I can investigate further if necessry on the Radar Contact side.Thanks.-michael
June 28, 200520 yr Hi,Yes as far as I can tell. Load up the Thunderstorm theme and apply it to all stations. Go anywhere and watch the Shift/Z wind values. They shift in direction and intensity.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

June 28, 200520 yr I just did a flight last night from Denver to Wichita. KICT was reporting winds at 14 with gusts to 24. I can verify that ASV does handle the gusts ;-) I was using the FeelThere ERJ-145 which does not have the best autopilot. I had to disconnect the AP and hand fly the approach due to the gusts. Had a good one at about 50 AGL. Just glad KICT had a long runway. FUN! Mike
