June 22, 200520 yr Anyone's using this feature?I ask because it doesn't work on my PCI download a METAR sequence, a desired METAR + Additional Consecutive 3-4 Hours; after that i load a FS flightplan and press refresh to get updated textures (Intelligent Cloud Selection). At that point FS local Date/Time and FS Zulu Date/time are correct and also Active wx.But, as soon as i start FS9, ASV displays FS local Date/Time and FS Zulu Date/time as my FS9 starting situation (September 8th 2004) and tells me it cannot start Offline Sequence Playback (of course as it cannot find 9/8/2004 METAR's).On the contrary i thought FS9 Date/time should set suiting ASV metar date/time. Am i wrong?BTW i have disabled in Option/Dynamics both TAF Processing and Use System TimeThanks for helpingLuigi ;-)
June 22, 200520 yr Hi,I didn't answer this moring because I had no ideas, but I have one:What time setting are you using in FS04?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 22, 200520 yr Hi Jim,i re-read carefully the manual and now i understand.I have to switch time manually to get Auto Set FS Time on Archive DL and start Offline Sequence Playback.I thought that FS time was auto set by ASV...ThanksLuigi ;-)
June 22, 200520 yr Thanks for turning to the manual!!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
July 1, 200520 yr Hi Luigi,I had the same question so did a search and found your thread. From your last comments, I assume that you have to set FS9 time manually to coincide with the starting downloaded METAR time and date, then ASV will automatically sequence to later METARs as FS9 time progresses throughout a flight- is that a correct interpretation?I'm at work so can't try this :) . But I also assumed that ASV would automatically set FS9 time and date when FS9 was started. This does work when FS9 is already running and I download a METAR sequence (current plus 3-4 hours). I think the deal is that the time is only reset if FS9 is actually running when I activate an ASV sequence, but not when FS9 has yet to start. The problem is that FS9 has always yet to start if we are changing cloud textures! Thanks if you see this, or any others in the know do.Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
