July 3, 200520 yr What are the best settings to use in FSUIPC, when using ASV? I heard turning "wind smoothness" on could decrease turbulence effects... "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
July 3, 200520 yr Hi,Your sig. line is funny especially to a science teacher like me!Start with the normal default settings and weather settings Off.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
July 4, 200520 yr Author >Hi,>>Your sig. line is funny especially to a science teacher like>me!Thank you sir! It's very geeky indeed :(>Start with the normal default settings and weather settings>Off.Actually, I'd like to have advices on how to set the followings to achieve max realism:.Smooth wind changes.Add random turbulence (I like turbulence a lot. Could this setting interfere with ASV generated turbulence?).random extend metar maxima .smooth visibility changes.add random icing in clouds.add random turbulence in cloudsWhat of these could interfere with ASV?Thank you!Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
July 4, 200520 yr Hi,None.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
July 4, 200520 yr Author >Hi,>>None.Ok, I'm bothering you one last time, but actually do you mean:.none of these settings should be checkedor.none of these settings actually interferes with ASV?Sorry again :) "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
July 4, 200520 yr Hi,Sorry, none would interfere. Some are double settings though like smooth wind and smooth visibility changes though you can set how fast these change.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
July 4, 200520 yr Hi Jim,Would it be possible for Damian, or maybe even Chris in the Environment settings to allow a toggle or a choice for the user who doesn't have a registered copy of FSUIPC to set how fast the visibility changes? As it is right now, the visibility decrease/increase when flying into a storm or when flying into an area where the visibility has changed is much too fast.I sent Damian an email regarding this about 2-3 weeks ago but he never replied.
July 4, 200520 yr Hi flight,That was around the time his son entered the world! Drop him another note and I am sure he'll get back to you. I don't know enough to say something here about this.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
