I don't know what you guys have done with this new version of Active Sky, but my frame rates are so much better, even in foul weather, compared to AS2004.5. All in all, it's been a great upgrade. I know there's some issues that Damian are working on with low ceilings and such, but I hope the performance isn't compromised.I do have a question though. On a few flights where the destination airport is hazy/foggy, such as my approach into KSFO a night or two ago, the haze/fog didn't kick in until I was about 15 miles out. Obviously, this made for a somewhat clear to instant haze, and I'm wondering why the suppression for 100 miles didn't prevent this? It's happened a couple of times into bad weather on approach at different airfields. Also, when should the altimeter hold steady regarding suppression? It usually changes around a little until I'm about 10 miles out, give or take. Not a big deal, since it's small increments, but I'm just curious. Btw, my suppression ceiling is 10,000 feet right now as I've been mostly flying large jets.FSUIPC is version ASV needed for install and it's cleared of any weather prior to flying. Also, I'm using SU2.Thanks!

Hi Chris,Supression does not mean that your conditions will not change. It means that if an update occurs, the new conditions will not all of a sudden kick in. The same holds true for pressure changes as well. The haze/fog could have been very local and it took that amount of time for you to reach it.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
