One, regarding the MipMap conversion. I did this in the AE interface, but this applied to all clouds right? In other words, I don't have to convert each texture. Also, on the start up sequence. To make sure ICS/Randoms are working, it says to load your flight plan into ASV and then start FS9. It's kinda a pain in the @$$ to start FS9, create a flight plan, exit FS9, load ASV and go from there just to restart FS9.What I did in AS2004.5 was start FS9, get everything ready, then when FS9 was done loading my flight, I hit refresh on AS.Will ICS/Randoms not work if FS9 is running at all?? If not, then how can I be sure the textures are submitted? Do I load the plan into ASV and before I start FS9 hit refresh?I want to be sure I'm doing it right.Chris

Hi Chris,1. You are correct!2. It can be if you don't use a 3rd party flight planner. What I suggested to another user is to manually enter the departing and destination airports and process those. The randoms will be submitted and ICS will do it's thing. ICS will work with FS running, but the randoms would be shown the next time you started FS as long as you didn't overwrite them. Many have been confused about this. It works easy enough, but to explain it gets hard.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

Jim,Thanks for your post.I thought I had it figured out and now I am completely confused. LOLI thought that ICS had to create the appropriate conditions BEFORE FS9 started. Isn't the cumulous1.bmp created by ICS? If so, can it be updated AFTER FS9 starts? If that is the case, then that is great. So let me be sure that I have this correct. I can start FS9, load/create&load a flight plan, start ASV (paused), import that flight plan, refresh, and ICS will update appropriately. No need to exit FS9 and restart AFTER importing the flight plan. Correct?Wilson

Hi Wilson,Yes, ICS before FS starts. No, cumulus1.bmp cannot be updated after FS is started, only cirrus1.bmp.Nope:Start ASVImport plan or at least departing and destination airports and process.Start FS04.ICS will continue monitoring the cirrus clouds.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
