Should i buy Activesky 5?

Featured Replies

I have never used a weather program before but after seeing it in action on a few videos i was thinking about it. I just want to know is it worth it i mean i use the PMDG 737-700 With FS Passengers will it have any effect on any of these programs. Does active sky work with in the sim. Or do i have to start the program then bring it down have it work in the background.will this hafe any effect on loading a flight plan? I use fsbuild 2.2 to make my flight plan then i send the flight plan from there to the FMC in the PMDG and the MSFS 2004. Will there be a problem doing this. I just dont want to spend $40.00 for a program thats going to be more problems then its worth. So plese be honest about this program. thanks

Well, I'd say buy it... it makes the weather look just beautiful !C'mon, you know you want to !! :-) !!!!

ASV should not have any impact on the other programs you have running. Actually, the FS9 default clouds cause more of an FPS hit than ASV or Flight Environment clouds. The clouds in both programs have been optimized to run much smoother.ASV works in the background, and as such, needs to be started separately from FS9. The easiest way is to start ASV, let it download the weather, start FS9 and go fly. This is rather simplified as the manual that comes with the program explains the process very clearly.Regarding a flightplan, ASV reads FS9 flightplans so there will be no problems with those. You are in for a real treat if you decide to buy. Weather has never looked better.

Great Steven, and welcome. The support here is done mostly by the development team and as such is first-rate. You're gonna like it here...:-)

Steve,For my money, this is the best add on for FS.

Yeah, you should.
