Due to a mistake on my part (don't ask :-) ) I had to reinstall ASV. I reset all my options, including no text messages. However when I first start a flight I get a scrolling text message giving the "Nearest METAR report" I usually have Online updates disabled, but use TAF processing. When ASV updates using the TAF I also get a new scrolling message. Didn't have this until after the reinstall. Any ideas on how to get this turned off? Thanks. Mike

Hi Mike,You clicked On Disable Text Messages right?You saved your settings with the save and close button?You restarted ASV and FS?By default this setting is Off and you need to click it On.Please double check and let us know! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, been very busy. I've checked this about 3 times: made sure the Disable text messages was not checked and did the Save and restart. Mike

Hi,See that is it, that Option needs a check in the box. With no check you are going to get text messages.
