November 8, 200520 yr Guys,I have to say that I am an extremely happy AS2004.5 user. I am thinking about moving up to ASVE but I am not sure what the benefits will be. There doesn't seem to be any reviews or direct comparisons between the versions around, so I'm a little unsure. It seems like ASV is more complicated to install given the differing cloud sizes and converting to dxt's etc. I like the fact that with AS2004.5, I could simply replace the default clouds with the hifpsv2 set and away I went with great frame rates to boot. Does ASVE have the same or better (performance wise) cloud set? Performance is really important to me, so I would rather stick with AS2004.5 if ASV is going to reduce my frames. Thanks for any insight.....GlennPS - Why do AVSIM nor Flightsim.com ever review your products? November 8, 200520 yr Hi Glenn,For features:http://sales.hifisim.com/ASVE/features.htmI feel that installation is the same with a few extra steps: Download and install 2 cloud packs, but you may not need the 512 clouds so 1 cloud pack. Download and place imagetool.exe in the AE folder. Convert MIPS Convert to DXTPerformance should be the same or even better. Of course, we still have all the other options to improve frame rates. For Reviews:http://www.fszone.org/forums/index.php?sho...t=0entry13594http://www.fsimnetwork.net/index.php?fsn=r...fisim_activeskyhttp://www.simflight.com/modules.php?name=...rticle&sid=7200For User Feedback:http://sales.hifisim.com/ASVE/reviews.htmHope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
