Hello.I am probably going to be purchasing ASVE for my father for Christmas but wanted to try to get a question answered first.I have a crap machine at work that I use to test a few things for him before I send them his way. We live in different states and he is not the most computer literate.I guess my question is if it is possible to purchase and download ASVE where I am, install it on my crap test machine, figure out how to use it, uninstall it and take the downloaded install file (or whatever it actually is) with me for when I visit for the holidays and install it again (this time permantely) on his machine.Thanks!

Hi,As long as the "crap test machine" has a CD burner or a way to transfer a 97MB download!As long as it is being used on one machine at a time you are fine. Wow, am I becomming a pain or what? Sorry!No problem on getting the file there. By the time I'm finished I will probably be taken 6 or 7 CD's. (I only get to make one trip a year.)I guess the reason I was asking was for any licensing issues I may run into. As I said I would uninstall from the crap machine before loading on his but I don't know how AVSE is registered. I thought maybe there was on online thing after the product was installed. Although I am also hoping against that because I deal with a dial-up connection when I'm there (hence the many CD's).What is the registration process anyway? Or does anything even need to be done once ASVE is downloaded as far as registration is concerned?

You and I exchanged so many e-mails that it is a bit strange to see you posting here, but that is a good thing!OK a CD transfer is fine of the installation file.No on-line registration.
