December 4, 200520 yr Hi all,Again with a question which relates to the realism of ASE provided weather environment. I have just downloaded and loaded the real weather with ASE. It reports (the green line on the FS window) the latest METAR taken at my airport and changes the ambient temperature at the airport. It's ok with temperature. But can i be sure that the real weather report dictates the subsequent change in the ASE textures (i have both 128x128 and 256x256 texture models) and that i can later make some changes on this (real) "weather textures" using the Active Environment?Thank you.Regards,Bina Regards,Victor Quebec
December 4, 200520 yr Hi Bina,Not sure what you mean by "weather textures"? In Active Environment you can chose your cloud, haze, sky, and environment textures. Then ASV and FS04 will use those textures. Or you can choose ICS and Random mode where AE will analyze weather for the cirrus clouds and randomly chose the other textures. No matter which method you use, the weather data downloaded will be the weather depicted in FS04. December 5, 200520 yr Author Hi Jim,Thank you very much. I just wanted to be sure that unless i edit the weather data using Active Environment the textures for cloud, haze etc. depicted in FS2004 after i engage the ASV are dictated by the ASV Weather Engine. I understand now that as soon as the ASV "arranges" the weather environment after my download i can edit it through the Active Environment.Thank you once again for your prompt support. Regards,BinaP.S.: I'm gonna chose one more banner for ASV Support :) Regards,Victor Quebec
