February 5, 200620 yr HiI found a problem with the visibility write using 05150Z weather at ENZV.Metar in use:ENZV 050150Z VRB03KT 9999 BKN012 M00/23 Q1029What happen is that ASv6 tells FSUIPC to set the vis to 0 wich FS cannot do. The result is that all textures on scenery and autogen is white like the fog. The vis range also jumps out to about 5sm and is showing like a hard wall, not the soft fog like normal.I can reproduce this by using the archive.
February 5, 200620 yr Hi JT,Yes, this happened once before at a totally different airport. Everything goes all white, even the plane's graphics. The data looks good, it decodes correctly, but there IS SOMETHING wrong. Guess what it is? It only took me about 15 minutes to figure it out this time! Last time it took MUCH longer.Look at the Dew Point Temperature. See how it is reported at 23C? See what the actual temperature is? OC. Now, is this even remotely possible? Nope, not in a billion years! If you edit the dew point temp to M23 everthing comes out great. Even weatherset changes. So seeing that is in your part of the world you can call them up and tell them to get their dewpoint correct! I am just kidding about that one! You are a great help to us and it is always great to see your posts. Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannersupporter.jpg
February 6, 200620 yr Author Thanks Jim. I really didnt notice that one :)I guess its a typo from the met guys. Maybe it would be possible to add a "IF" case to AS so that dewpoint would not be higher than temp?In this case AS would note that the temp was M0 and then seing that the M was missing from dewpoint and pick a dewpoint close to it, or just treat it as M23.Just an idea. Dont know if its even possible.
