February 19, 200620 yr Author HINo not jumping, just looks like the user interface is trying to fit into the window twice. Both vertically and horizontally. Almost as if the font is all wrong or the resolution is out of sync. I can send you a screenshot if that would help.Stuart B

February 19, 200620 yr Hi Jim,I've replicated the above problem:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/142361.jpgHere's how:Go to your Desktop settings (Right click the desktop, select Properties.) Select the Settings Tab. Click the Advanced button. On the General tab, change the DPI setting to Large Size. Ok everything and reboot. Start ASG. Screen looks like above.Eeyore, if you wish and until this is fixed, change your DPI setting back to Normal Size and the ASG screen will be displayed properly.Hope this helps,...jim
February 19, 200620 yr Author HiThe window goes slightly transparent but gets repositioned accordingly. The problem still remains.Stuart B
February 19, 200620 yr Author Hello JimThanks for managing to find out the reason why. I will reset to normal when I use ASG but otherwise I will revert to large. Eyesight is not as good as it used to be.Stuart B
February 19, 200620 yr Hi All,Thanks for loading large fonts and trying things out. I don't have large fonts installed and could not find my XP disk right away. There are a few different ways to increase font size without using large fonts. There is a setting for large icons, and in IE and Outlook you can adjust text size. Of course changing your desktop resolution can make things larger also. Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannersupporter.jpg
February 19, 200620 yr Author Let us be clear, to my mind this does not detract from the AS product so far as I am concerned and does not prevent me from using it. It is, however, a little lucky it does not happen with ASv6. That would be a pain. Screen resolution change is not the answer because then I think you lose quality. I use the large setting because of reading text, icons, etc. Like I say, if it becomes really a nuisance when using ASG I shall change the fonts setting. However, reading up on the issue in various KB's I believe this is a fixable issue from within ASG by making some changes to the way ASG handles and interfaces with Windows XP and in particular the desktop.Stuart B
