Snowing in Ireland???

Featured Replies

I did a flight today from Donegal to Dublin and to my amazement I found snow in and around the Dublin to Meath area. It didn't snow at all today or yesterday and it hasn't snowed anywhere in the country since last November yet this is what I see in flightsim:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/142360.jpgWhy is it that snow is showing up where it hasn't snowed? Cheers,James

And me...Yesterday I was landing in Montreal (CYUL)....It was suppose to have snow but what was falling was rain....It was -26c.Weird...Alain

Was it snowing or was there snow on the ground? From your screen shot, I don't see any flakes. Snow on the ground is a texture issue, not an Active Sky issue.

Hi All,FS04 does not positively know what the weather has been in the past, what it is now, or what it will be in the future. However it does know the date, season, and the latitude and longitude of your current position. It will use this data to determine the ground textures to use, not the weather. Looks like winter the northern part of the Northern Hemisphere to me! The solution: change the season in FS or fly farther south.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg
