March 21, 200620 yr Hi.I have some questions regarding online flying.I setup ASV, ASG and FS2004 in accordance with tips from Jim (Realistic Weather settings).Everything goes Ok, I have beautiful clouds, and no clouds pop up when flying. For example around LDRI I have clouds around me acc mETAR, after message Weather at LDRI updated, suddenly weather changes to clear sky without any clouds (acc METAR clouds on 3000ft OVC and so on..Check METAR for 21.03. 17:00Z LDRI). After 1 minute weather start to changes from clear sky to completlly overcast. Is it normal situation, or I must change something.I'm using VATSIM Online WeatherP.S. I solved Out of memory problem, It was caused by two landclass files. Check out this great program which solve my Out of Memory Problemhttp://www.ranainside.com/software_flightsim_manager.html ThanksEdin HasanovicACV 002Air Croatia VirtualTraining DepartmentLDZA
March 21, 200620 yr Hi,So this happens on the ground or when flying in the area? We need a bit more detail!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
March 21, 200620 yr Author Hi Jim.It happens when flying. I tried flight from LDZA to LDRI. Every time when message appears "XXXX Weather updated (XXXX=ICAO code im my case LDZA and LDRI)" weather situation changes instantlly. When I was in descent at 6000ft, after message appears, weather changes from cloudy sky to clear sky instantlly, and then slowly something like mist appears (maybe in 1 min after clear sky). I was in approach phase.I didn't remember exact METAR, but It was 21.03. at 17:00ZIs it maybe connected with VATSIM weather or...ThanksEdin
March 21, 200620 yr Hi,Could it have been the FS04 situation where the visibility changes from greater than 10SM to less than 10SM? That is not going to be smooth. What is your maximum visibility set to?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
March 22, 200620 yr Author Hi.Max visibility is set to 59nmIs it normal that after each weather update, situation around me changes instantlly. Sometimes weather is similar as before update (only clouds location is changed). But sometimes If I have 100% cloud coverage in front of me, after weather update half of the clouds, missing. And In my last case, flight from LDZA to LDRI, "LDRI Weather Update" appears three times in 30min of flt, and result was that weather was dramatically changed. I checked in SquawkBox weather situation with instruction .metar LDRI, and METAR was the same all the time?!? Is it possible to prevent this behaviour.ThanksEdin
March 22, 200620 yr AHHH OK so sky conditions are changing on each refresh. That is a totally different situation and should not be happening. Please post your ASv6.ini file and I'll take a look at your settings. You do have weather Off in SB correct?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

March 22, 200620 yr Hi,It's because you are using SB weather. Turn all those Off because you cannot have both working. The ASv6 settings are good. Please give that a try and let us know.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
