March 23, 200620 yr I get ASG.exe-Application errorThe application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click Ok to terminate the application...Also does any one encounters a FPS drop once entering bad weather with all the settings turned up (cloud vis to 60miles and max vis to 55Miles)...?Alex
March 23, 200620 yr Hi AlexPlease make sure you have Microsoft .NET v1.1 or later installed. You can get this using windows update. If you already have it installed I suggest an uninstall reinstall cycle of it.FPS drop can happen in bad weather if you have overcast and multiple layers. Try lowering the cloud draw distance in FS to 40 or 30 miles.I actually went as far as disabling the "Overcast Enhancement" in AS to keep framerate up. You may not get a proper overcast doing this, but its a tradeoff I found to be acceptable.
March 23, 200620 yr Ahhh...It only goes down to 16FPS sometimes using the Virtual Cockpit and a ress of 1600 x 1200 so thats not so bad I guess... its not choppy either at 16-15 FPS....Alex
March 23, 200620 yr I tried what you said and I still get the drop.. I have even set the to 256 and DXT3. Even did the update 3. Some people have told me they dont get much of a drop...Could it be a conflict with FE and ASV6 GFX...? Alex

March 24, 200620 yr Hi Alex,OK, here are some suggestions:Cloud Draw Distance 30 in FS043D Clouds 100%Cloud Coverage--MaximumAA Off in FS04No more than 4X for both AA and AF in the ATI Control Panel. 2X would be better, but I know straight lines begin to look bad.Make sure all your system drivers are up to date including your motherboard drivers.Reducing maximum visibility to 29 in ASv6 can help if you don't mind it at high altitudes.Experiment with DXT and non-DXT clouds. Some machines handle one better than the other.Limit your cloud layers to 3.Remember that VC is a little more hardware intensive than 2D.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
