fog generation and fs9 haze questions

Featured Replies

Hi before asking, I did some research and found alot of posts on this BUT some posts suggested to leave OFF and others to leave on fog generation, what is the deciding factor for this one?As far as fs9 haze I honestly don't like it on because it causes ME unrealistic effects many of which most of you know!

Hi Joe,Really the deciding factor is the user. Some like it and some do not. Also, so say it helps in the visibility area as you move from area to area.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Is there a comparison picture at least, because when i try in the sim I see no difference?

Hi Joe,It is not automatic. Fog will only be generated if there is low visibility and no clouds in the data.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Hmmm So why not always have it set to on? We all want fog if the metar says it's there.

Hi Joe,Yes, stratus. The code for fog does not need to show for this option; only low visibility and no clouds in the METAR.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
