Autopilot Problem with FS9 and Activesky

Featured Replies

I recently installed Activesky6 on my computer. I have been experiencing a problem where the airspeed indicator resets to 000 indicated airspeed either during climb on or the descent phase of flight. The mach meter continues to operate as do the throttles manually. After a period of time, it seems to reset and the autothrottles work again, and the airspeed returns to the indicator.I have trouble shot this by doing the exact same flight with the exact same aircraft. When I was using FS9 weather the problem did not occur, but did with Activesky weather. Next, I tried the same experiment with a different aircraft with the same results. The problem occurs with both add on aircraft and FS9 original aircraft.I have a good computer. I am operating a Intel Pentium 4 2.80g processor, 1gig of RAM, NVIDA Geforce 6600 video card, and the latest version of FSUIP v 3.60.I don't know if this is related, but my screen also flickers when I change views, or when FS9 is loading. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

It's called Icing my friend.Always remember turn on the pitot heat and also turn on the anti-icing devices on the aircraft when flying into icing conditions.(or alternatively, disable icing in ASV or FSUIPC options)

Hi,if you don't want this to happen :go to options of AS6 and check "prevent all icing" otherwise make sure your pitot heat is "on"when flying an aircraft without pitot heat "on/off switch" :SHIFT-HHope this helps,http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpgPatrick/EBBR

Thanks. I'll try that. I always thought that icing only occured in clouds and precip.....this was happening during clear conditions. I'll give it a try. Thanks!John
