October 16, 200619 yr Is there a way I can verify that AS Graphics has actually placed the AS textures in my texture folder? Heres's why I want to check:I have FS installed on both my main PC and on my WideClient PC, during the istallation I mistakenly pointed the texture file updater at the WideClient FS texture File, instead of my main FS texture file. To fix it I tried to restore the WideClient FS file back to the original textures and then point the texture updater to the Main PC FS texture file. The problem I am having is the button on the texture updater is stuck on Restore Original FS texture file. It takes its time and displays a message that it is running, but I don't know for sure if the main PC textures were updated. Thanks for any help!!!
October 16, 200619 yr Hi,Sure can! After a submit open your FS04 Texture folder and find the Cumulus1.bmp file. Right mouse click on it, go to Properties and see if the modified time is the time that you submitted the textures. Please let us know how things are going,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
October 17, 200619 yr Author Hi Jim - As I suspected AS Graphics is not updating my main FS texture folder eventhough it is pointing at it now. The Cumonibus1 (sp) file was last modified on June 2003, eventhough I ran the update last night. Is there a way to manually update the texture file? Or is it better to just uninstall ASV6 via the Add/Remove Programs and then reinstall. I noticed that there is no option to remove ActiveGraphics by itself. Thanks for the help Jim!!!
October 17, 200619 yr Hi,Don't uninstall yet! I think you checked the wrong file. Check the cumulus1.bmp or the stratus1.bmp .Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
October 18, 200619 yr Author Hey Jim - thanks for the help. I checked the right file, i just typed the wrong name. I uninstalled and resinstalled everything last night and so far it looks like everything is working perfectly, i haven't flown yet but just looking at the clouds from the ground - they looked spectacular. Again, thanks for the help!!!
