November 12, 200619 yr Hi,During flight I experience severe pressure changes, causing the altitude to drop/rise between 100-400 feet instantly.I have enabled pressure smoothing in FSUIPC but appearantly that doesn't help.Any cause, or better any resolution for this? November 12, 200619 yr Hi,Sorry about this. The best thing to do is adjust through FSUIPC. What is your Suppression Range set to?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
November 13, 200619 yr Author Hi,I forgot to mention: I'm talking about FS9 and not FSX.My Suppresion Range is 50nm. Should I increase this, or leave it.Also I noticed I can check 'Force Constant Route Pressure'However with this enabled, I'm wondering the following:If I reach my destination and have set a suppresion ceiling set of 11000ft, when descending through 11000ft do I get the local field pressure or the route pressure? November 14, 200619 yr Hi,Increase your range to 200 and see if that helps. With that option On you will get destination local field pressure. Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
November 14, 200619 yr Author Hi Jim,Both in creased the suppresion range and enabled the constant pressure option and it works now like a charm.Thanks for your help, Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
December 3, 200619 yr I have the same problem in FSX and adjusting suppression ranges and such, plus "smoothing" has done nothing to help, and this is using only default fSX aircraft such as the 737. Am I to take it then that this problem of severe pressure or speed changes shall be with us until microsoft patches or Pete Dowson catches up with it? My last communication with him was that FSUIPC has nothing to do with weather now.Randy Jura, KPDX
December 4, 200619 yr Hi Randy,Correct, because it is through SimConnect that all smoothing needs to take place. We are all awaiting a SimConnect update from MS.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
