Auto-Submit Question

Featured Replies

Hello.I was hoping you would answer a question for me regarding the Auto-Submit feature of ASV v6.After reading through the manual my understanding is that with the Auto-Submit feature checked the proper textures will be copied to the sim depending on the weather conditions.Going with the assumption that the above is correct, what needs to be done with the "Full Sky" and "Cirrus" Theme area? Anything? It seems as though if you have something in either of these fields those are the textures that will be used all of the time and not change if the weather changes.Am I missing something completely obvious here? Thanks!

Hi,Thanks for the questions!A few things here:1. After FS04 is started the only textures that can change is the cirrus.2. Yes you need to click on each of the Browse buttons and choose a Theme for each. To match the weather at the start, you need to choose the Wx Influenced themes for both. Remember a plan must to used or at least your departing airport set as your default location.3. If not, then the next best choice(to me) is the Random Themes. That way you get a different combination of textures each time you fly.4. If you are happy with only one Theme, then you don't even need to have Auto-Submit On, as FS04 will use the same textures each time. Please ask if you have more questions!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

But if don't have Auto-Submit on then NO textures are updated as a result of the weather and not just the Full Sky and Cirrus Themes, right? In other words if Auto-Submit is on but no themes are selected for Full Sky AND Cirrus then other textures are still being sent to FS04, right?

Hi,If no themes are selected then no auto-submit textures are being sent. In that way a user could then use the ASG program to manually set textures and know that AS is not over-writing those textures.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

I thought there were other textures being modified but maybe I'm just not understanding what Full Sky covers.Thanks.

Hi,I bought AS yesterday and must say that FS9 has become a whole new experience (and I have been a simmer for over a decade now!)! Thanks for that great add-on!I

Hi,Thanks for the purchase and welcome!Because without a plan or at least your departing airport AS will have no idea what weather conditions to analyze in order to set Wx Influenced textures. With All Random choosen this does not matter because random is random and not based on any weather conditions.Hope this clears things up. If not please ask more!!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
