FSUIPC for FSX and FSIX

Featured Replies

Dave/JimStill getting CTD with AS6.5 and SB3.1 with FSUIPC 3.7 to 3.715--typically occurs on average 15 minutes after FS9 launch. I have VATSIM wx updates off and on-line updates set to 120 minutes. As menitoned, ASv6 and SB3.1 always worked fine together in FS9.The only variables which have changed are the upgrade to AS6.5 (533--not the beta 536), and updating FSUIPC to latest version for FS9. I also loaded FSX with FSUIPC 4.06.I reverted to an older version of FSUIPC 3.7 and had same issues--I also noted that in the AS6.5 folder within the FS9 modules folder there is a zip file entitled FSUIPC with an earlier version of FSUIPC.DLL---is this normal? Should there be a zip file embedded in AS6.5 folder within modules???ThanksRake

Hi Rake,The zip file is normal.I would let the SB folks know. We have no other reports of this.Any error messages?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

JimNo error messages at all, everything is working fine then poof back to desktop--no error message from FS9 pops up or XP or anything. Again, never happened before until FSX loaded, then ASv6.5 with FSUIPC 4.06 (for FSX). I haven't edited any .ini files so that FSX and FS9 are pointing to the right AS6.5..I just installed AS6.5 with appropriate FSUIPC for FSX and FS9--do I need to modify manually anything?I put a note on the SB forum and no one seems to have similar issue.ThanksRakebtw--I reinstalled SB3.1 and ASv6.5 and FSUIPC with no change

Hi Rake,See if the FSUIPC.log shows anything. Also Windows Event Viewer may give us a clue.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Jim/DaveFinally figured it out...it was NOD32 antivirus issue with FSUIPC and SB3.1...it's a great anti-virus (far less intrusive than Norton) but somehow interfers with FSUIPC at online update points.I deleted NOD32 AV and everything works like a champ! What's a good AV that doesn't sap system resources like Norton? Thanks for assisting (as usual).Rake

Hi Rake,I use AVAST, free, timely updates, works well, easy to set up and use!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
