December 19, 200223 yr Whilst playing with Traffic Tools it suddenly occurred to me just how interesting it is to watch all the AI a/c movements. I have found a snag though, you can only tune to one frequency at a time.I would love to have Ground,Tower, etc all available to listen to, just like on a normal airband scanner. Does anyone know if this could be done and how to go about it ?
December 19, 200223 yr I use AIVIEW.dll and setup an aircraft that has a radio stack with two COM radios and active/standby position selectors. You then have places for four radio frequencies. I usually only have three set, ground, tower, departure/approach.I also use NAV3.1 on a LAN computer using WideFS.Once you open AIVIEW, under the Plug-in Menu option, you can click on any of the aircraft in the map/list area. If you double-click, it takes you to the spot view for that aircraft. In the mean time, you can listen to two different conversations from the radios. It can get quite noisy and unintelligible at times. Bill Sieffert
December 19, 200223 yr I have also wondered this a number of times. There should be no reason why it can't be done. Just need someone with the know how to build it. Make a scanner that scans the channels until one of them is activated. Way out of my league for programming though.http://www3.telus.net/dport1/Radar_small.gifRC3 - Just gotta' have it!http://www3.telus.net/dport1/Radar_small.gifhttp://www3.telus.net/dport1/dansig.jpg
