GE PRO and AS6.5 integration

Featured Replies

I'm intrigued by GE Pro. I'll probably upgrade my current basic GE to the PRO version. Before doing that, I'd like to get clear on the GE Pro/AS integration (in FS2004). The info is that GE Pro gets the weather for you. So how exactly is AS supposed to run with GE Pro?Eytan Ornstein

Hi,Without AS, GEP gets data from NOAA.With AS, GEP can get the weather data from us.You can set things up so that AS runs GEP in Auto-Submit mode and then sends the proper conditioned textures to FS04.I hope this answers things! 1. So without AS runninig, does GEP update uts weather during the flight like AS would?2. With AS running, what is the role of the GE button on the As main screen?Eytan

Hi,GEP sets the textures before you start FS. After that, you shut it down. GEP is not a weather generator at all. It uses weather data to determine which style of textures to send to FS.It can trigger the auto-start of GEP so that GEP can set your textures.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
