ASV and Vista

Featured Replies

I've got Vista 32-bit with FSX and the latest FSUIPCI kept getting "main process thread error" in ASV6.5 (SU1), so I uninstalled from both fsx and fs9, and made sure that all (obvious) registry keys were deleted.I reinstalled to fsxrootmodules with no obvious problemsNow that I have re-installed, I cannot save options. I get a message "unable to write options file - check your installation"The AS6.5 main window correctly (?) describes my fsx pathMy ASv6.ini has "fs9path=***" When I try to add the path to my install of fsx, vista won't let me save the alterations - "cannot create the ...ASv6.ini file. make sure the path and file name are correct". I also note that the last modified date on the file is 11/1/06???pls help ;( Jeff

Hi Jeff,Sorry for the problem.Make sure AS is not installed directly into FSX. Install into is own folder somewhere on your system.Make sure you are signed into Vista as Administrator with full privileges. Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
