Autopilot Check

Featured Replies

How do you do an auto pilot check.I notice it on real life check-lists and recognize it is probably an extremely important check given a runwaway auto pilot risk (especially at take-off).I just do an on/off cycle then confirm- off and make sure my trim does not change. Anything else to do??Thanks.

Depends on the autopilot. The reality xp stec 50 which is available here on avsim (and on the B33 debonair) has a test mode you place it in-it takes about 4 seconds to go through the self tests-then the unit is ready to use.http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/Geofdog3.gif
