December 26, 200718 yr Commercial Member Ive noticed this a few times after a violent windshift sometimes not all the time the airspeed indicator drops off to zero and if on (usually) auto pilot the engines zap up to 100%. Usually turning on deice or pitot heat fixes this. Anyone else Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
December 26, 200718 yr Hi Dave,I don't think it is the wind shift causing this, but the PITOT tubes freezing up. In any cold conditions you should have PITOT heat on.Happy Holidays,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Its usually on I think its a coincidence or the quick wind chill factor. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
