May 7, 200818 yr Just a quick thank you for excellent support from Jim & HiFi Sim. Following cleanup from a virus attack, I found myself unable to reinstall ASX/XG due to a missing SW key. A quick email to support and within an hour or so there was my key. Needless to say, the reinstall went well and FSX is once again looking it's best!A quick word to the wise, too. Back up your on-line purchases to include any downloaded executables, emails, confirmations, etc. Back up to a protected location such as a CD, DVD, or auxiliary hard/silicon drive. I thought I was safe in saving the email correspondence in my email client but it's possible to lose those when doing system restoration. Also, just saving the executable(s) may not be enough since those type files are frequently targets for malware--I was amazed (and a few other emotions) as I watched my AV client delete over 2300 .exe files that had been infected--and I run with a Firewall, AV protection, and do spyware checks every few days. I also take the time to put all my executable archive files into compressed format (e.g., .zip files) along with any supporting files...that paid off this time in that I only lost a few install files out of the many downloads I had made. I now make it routine to backup files to a DVD after any new installs. Given the size of some downloads these days--think scenery ;) --it sure can save on downloading again. Thanks, Jim and HiFi Simulations ... great products and great support!Regards,Larry - Blaster Cheers!
