Crazy plane behaviour with ASX

Featured Replies

Hi all,I shelved ASX for several months because at some random point in flight my plane was going into mid-air cartwheels and nothing I could do would stop it short of a full reboot. I recently started to use it again out of curiousity and almost immediately my plane skidded violently across the apron at Gatwick and started pirhouetting crazily. Reboot.Does anyone else get this behaviour or is it just me?For info, I'm running the following:-FSX SP2 AccelerationFSUIPC (latest and licenced)WideFS (latest and licenced)Active Sky (latest SP) across home networkAMD Athlon 4200+ AM24gb RAM100gb free HDD spacenVidia GeForce 9750GTCheers!Ian

Are you using the PMDG 744X? If so be aware that this is a known problem and that there is a fix for it on their site. Simply grab the latest update. Certainly sounds like it.If not then you need to post more info.John Veldthuishttp://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa475.png

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies!1. Which plane? - any plane seems to eventually go berserk but I tend to mostly use the 737-800 with the 747-400 a close second. The behaviour is really odd - almost like the plane is stuck in Slew mode (even though it's not Slewing at all) and all the movement controls are maxed out so it cartwheels end over end until it hits the gruond where it spins like a plate until I reboot.2. What controller?I'm using the CH Pro pedals and the Saitek yoke but that's been fixed by the good folk at Saitek so I don't think that's the cause. Besides I've been flying for months without problems.3. AI traffic in the area?Afraid not, I can't afford to run AI in FSX, the frame hit is too severe. Plus I tend to fly online and I can't bring myself to believe the AI won't conflict with some other poor aviator! Are you using the PMDG 744X? No I have no addons except the latest FSUIPC and the latest FSInn.I'll continue to run without AciveSkyX for a little while to confirm once and for all that it's contributing to the behaviour. Will report back what I find! Thanks againIan
