July 12, 200817 yr Hi guys, how have you been?I'm getting a simconnect error, and when I load ASX i get a message that says "Receive problem: Object variable not set within block."I've been looking for the trouble shooting section under documentation but it is just not there. I've tried uninstalling ASX reinstalling FSX then sp1, then ASX and still no joy. Any ideas? Thanks. -Scotty
July 12, 200817 yr Hi Scott,Try a uninstall/reinstall of .NET2.0.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
July 13, 200817 yr Author Well, XP with sp3 will not let you uninstall net 2.0 so I did a repair and it still does not work. I think XP sp3 is the culprit though. Not sure what to do now, but I really don't want to reinstall windows again. :D -Scotty
July 13, 200817 yr Hi Scott,Many users by now probably have SP3. I do, in the bits and pieces it came out as. If you installed SP3 in one shot, you should be able to uninstall it in one shot also.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
July 14, 200817 yr Author Thanks Jim, it is definitely a simconnect issue. I've got bigger problems with this install then just ASX. I'm gonna wipe the drive and install Xp pro 64. Thanks for your help. -Scotty
