September 9, 200817 yr Hello All,After toying with FSX/ASX and FSUIPC and numerous searches on the wind shifting topics, I was wondering if anyone could give any pointers on what their settings are that work for them. Currently I am using FSUIPC 4.30 wind smoothing options (using 1 knot or degree of change every 5 seconds) and no wind smoothing options in ASX. I still get some heavy shifting, especially over the Atlantic Ocean and the USA. Coincidentally, I get no shifting over Europe. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!Allan BurekCoordinator, Aircraft Maintenance OperationsGlobe Cargo Virtual Airlines Allan Burek
September 9, 200817 yr I use 3 seconds per knot/degree in FSUIPC, and Enable Wind Shift Stabilization in ASX. I no longer get overspeed or stall warnings in airliners.Regards,
September 10, 200817 yr Same happens to me...like Allan. I get no wind shifts at all over Europe, but still get some shifting over the USA. By far not as violent as before FSUIPC registerd, but still a bit annoying. Why this does not happen over Europe?Cheers! Esteban
September 11, 200817 yr Hi,Because of the distribution of wind stations. Less stations in Europe.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
