September 13, 200817 yr There's gonna be a change in US TAF formats effective in November. Will the Active Sky products (6.5, ASX) still work correctly?
September 13, 200817 yr Hi Tim,Until we get our hands on the new TAFs we won't know for sure. But if fixes need to be made I am sure we will take a close look.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
September 16, 200817 yr Commercial Member The format for the new TAFs is already published, along with example TAFs, on the following NOAA National Weather Service pagehttp://www.weather.gov/os/aviation/taf_testbed.shtmlJeff
September 16, 200817 yr Hi Jeff,Thanks for that information. Based on my quick glance I will GUESS that they will work fine. We don't use a decoder, just the raw data. It looks like just a time change to a 30 hour cycle.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
September 22, 200817 yr OK - I was worried that your weather engine might look at the TAFs to influence weather, and it might have a problem when the report covered more than a 24 hour period.
