October 10, 200817 yr Hi,The X Graphics program.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 10, 200817 yr It is not a corrupt download.....When I have tried to install both activesky and xgraphic again from a fresh download. Activesky is giving me a problem with the install. I have tried numerous times to install the programs and the same errors come up....unable to find required folders/files....problem checking access rights....FSX application not found( I enter the fsx location and it moves on)....I have checked the reg and fsx is pointing to the right direction. Right after it installs it looks for the installed aircraft to make the gauge installation, that does not happen. I have changed the security for the aircraft folders, no help. This is a new install for FSX and vista. When I run Activesky it does find the stations. I still have the problem with it with it...I have installed with administrative privalges. I still get the error the error when I try to install texturs. I am at my wits end.... I am using the most current product version....I hope you can help!!!!!!!
October 10, 200817 yr Hi,OK, let's back up:Does just ASX work properly?X Gauge will not install as it cannot find required folders/files?X Graphics installed OK or no?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 10, 200817 yr Yes,ASX works properly except for installing textures. XGauge will not install that is correct because it can not find the required files at the install of ASX or with the wizzard. Xgraphic appears to have installed ok and appears to work. That is it in a nutshell.
October 10, 200817 yr Hi,Do you have FSX installed to its default path? The reason I ask is because Vista has a real problem accessing files that are in the Program Files folder. I know one workaround is to reinstall FSX to a non-default path.Is UAC in Vista Off?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 11, 200817 yr Hi,Try right mouse clicking on the XGauge installer and Run As Administrator.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 12, 200817 yr I have done that.... no help...IT seems that Activesky X does not reconginize FSX or XGraphic....What does the reg file for ActiveskyX and Xgraphic look like? XGraph What part of the program points ActiveskyX to both does?
