ASX and SB4

Featured Replies

Hello, I am using ASX and Xgraphics bundle with FSX (of course) and Squawk Box 4. WhenI fly my winds are all over the place, but when I go to use the start menu for SB4 the game paused and say I am onthe ground (just landed) all the sudden I am kicked foward going 120 kts. Can anyone tell me whatI need to change if this even makes any sense. Thanks in advance! Drew

I turned off the weather options in sb4 and still had the same problem. I also noticed that even when sb4 is not booted up I still get the same problem. Today for instance (10/25) the weather is a beast on the east coast. I went to land in krdu and once I started my descent I noticed where the speeds would start to fluctuate. Everything will pause for half a second once in a while. I was on final approach and just as I am getting ready to touch down I boost 140 knots which of course with flaps at 30 I am creating a parachute effect. I use windows xp if that is any info that helps. What should the weather settings be on FSX? I keep it on user defined (orig setting at start up) Thanks! Drew

My wind smoothing is set to off (my common sense is telling me that should be on)... My dynamic rate is set to 50%

I enabled the wind smoothing and it was fine until cruise wher eI went from moch .79 to .89 repeatedly. I then switched the rate to zero. My system then crashed. The crash happened twice tonight. I think Squawkbox 4 might have something to do with it. I hit up their forum with a problem as well...My FSX has never failed me in the year I have been opperateing it untill I downloaded SB4 and ASX so I don't think its a system thing. I am thinking about switching back to FSInn. have you heard of any problems with using either vatsim system? Thanks! Drew

There were no error messages from ASX. I checked the forum for SB4 and alot of people recently had the same trouble I was sadly with the "crossing the pond" fly-in.

Just flew a leg from MDW to AUS. rate of change was at 0, wind smoothing enabled FSInn back in the cockpit. At the beginning as soon as I took off with the right amount of speed, I went into a stall because I all the sudden had 0 speed. This happened twice. Once I got above 10k all was well. All the way to 17L at AUS. As I was coming in for touchdown I was pushed 1000 ft up in the air. I forced the nose down and landed because I had enough rwy left thanks to my perfect approach (Gloat,Gloat..lol). Then as I pulled off the rwy, squawk stndby I speed up to 90 knots in the blink of an eye. After that it was back to normal all the way to the gate. Hope this can paint a picture heh. Drew

I didn't run FSInn and I repaired FSX and I didn't have the changing winds, but I am stil having trouble with initial touchdown being lifted 100+ft and then being kicked up 70 knots while taxi back to the gate. My xgraphics works now, the speed after touchdown is my only problem now. Drew

I flew a boeing 737-800 (swa texture) from KDAL to KHOU. I also have the accelerator package installed in FSX. All was well for the flight but same problem with landing. Not taxi situation this time.
