ASV 6.5 is not updating correctly

Featured Replies

Hi I rebuilt my system recently and reinstalled FS9.1 with all my addons including ASV6.5. My problam is if I load a flight at Seatle for example on the 11th November 2007 and then change the date to 13th January 2008 at the same location ASV6.5 gives me exactly the same weather, even though it says it is down loading the correct FS date and time weather. I am sure in my previous installation the weather would change according to the date I choose. I know that there is a limit to the how far back you can go I never load any weather that is more than a year old. In the options I have deselected "use system time" and when ASV 6.5 down loads the weather it shows the correct date. Unfortunatley the weather only changes when I change location not dates. The problem occurs after the first down load, it is like the update suppressions are stopping the update but I have tried turning them off too in the options and it makes no difference. One last point when I use archive down load it works fine. Is this how I should be doimg it?Using WindowsXP professional SP2, FS9.1 and ASV6.5 Build:552, FSUIPC version 3.75 .Attached is Jpeg of my current options settings.Regards,Sebastian

Hi,You attached your settings as a text file so I can't see your settings. Are you downloading/loading the weather files that correspond to the dates? Active Sky will not automatically download the old weather files unless you instruct it to. Please let us know. Thanks, Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Hi Jim,I think it is all working fine now. I have attached my current settings let me know if you see any problems with the way I have set it up.I think I had made a mistake during my testing and by doing some more test and playing around with the settings I am now getting very real weather.I had been struggling for a few weeks, and typically when you ask some one for help the computer decides to behave itself and the problem disappears.
