November 22, 200817 yr I am encountering the same problem that I see some others here with getting ASX to work from a client PC. I have followed your instruction in the user guide to the "letter" again and again and can not see what I am doing wrong. I am posing my XEngine.log file for asssistance. I stopped the load as soon as it gave me the error:08:31:33: Logging Initialized08:31:33: XEngine v1.0.0.325 Copyright
November 22, 200817 yr Ok, I have made an update to SP3 which got me further but still an error"Simconnect SP1 managed version was not found to be correctly installed on this system. It is recommended to uninstall and reinstall the FSX SP1 update so this can be repaired. To uninstall, use add/remove programs and enable the 'Show updates' checkbox to make the SP1 update visible. Remove it then re-install. This will usually correct the situation. If you continue having problems please see the ASX Documentation SimConnect Troubleshooting section"I have uninstalled and reinstalled and yes the AI Traffic test works fine, so everything is talking . . Still looking for some direction . . . Thanks in advanceJoe Joe Porter
November 22, 200817 yr Ok, after days of reseach this IS the FIX:what I did was on the client machine :uninstall all simconnect clients (add/remove programs)1)install the SDK form the DVD 1 FSX de luxe SDK folderRUN Simconnect.msi (double click)2)install SDK SP1ARUN Simconnect.msi (double click)I found it is needed to RUN the Simconnect.msi file after each SDK install, without that for me it was also a NO GO.Now I have in the add/remove programs :Microsoft Flightsimulator SimConnect Client v10.0.61242.0Microsoft Flightsimulator SimConnect Client v10.0.61259.0Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK SP1AI did't dare to install the FSX SDK SP2 update on the client, but it is installed on the server (FSX machine), because all worked well after installing and running the SP1A.This was found by another forum user . . .
