Missing Village & Cabin

Featured Replies

I can't display the virtual cabins in any of the planes and I am missing the burned-out village scenery for the Reading airport used in WWII days. The virtual cockpit and everything else works OK. I must be overlooking some keyboard command or setting in FS2004 program.Any help will be appreciated.AMD2100+512 MB RAMFX5500 - 256 Video cardErnest

Hi Ernest,I don't know about the virtual cabin problems you're having, but the mock French Village will only show up if your scenery density sliders are fully right at "extremely dense". Check to make sure they are and let me know if you still can't see the village.thanks,

You've got the answer re. the scenery but I hope I can help with the virtual cabin. The virtual cabin is included as part of the full model and is accessed from the virtual cockpit. There are NO keypad or keypresses that will automatically take you there, you must `walk` there using the various key combinations for moving the point of view in the virtual cockpit. I use Active Camera, so my keys are no use to you, but if you look up the `move eyepoint` key assignments in the FS menu you'll find the ones for moving forward, backward, left and right. The hat switch is still used to turn the `head` left and right and angle the view up and down. So form the AC position, swing your view toward the cabin door using the hat switch, then move the eyepoint left/right/forward and back. the keypad `del` key returns your view to forward facing, the spacebar to the AC position.A final point is that Active Camera allows you to `walk` all the way to the lavatory (and beyond, if freefall is your game) and the capacity to go anywhere in the cabin, whereas I remember there is a limit as to how far you can go with the default keys.Hope this helps. Allcott
