Stutters?

Featured Replies

I have been testing the R4D and apart a problem with the mixture (see another thread) eveything goes alright. However, when in the 2D cockpit, if I select a lateral view there are usually strong stutters in the image. Otherwise the frame rate is somewhere between 15 and 30fps.With other aircraft, including the B25, this never happens.Has someone else felt this problem? Is the R4D "heavier" in terms of computer resources than the B25?Regards,

Exact opposite here. The B-25 shows lower FPS in side views than the R4D-6. No stutters in either case.Stutters in side views are rarely cuased by the aircraft, usually by the aircraft revealing a weakness somewhere else. You can start by checking all the threads in the main Avsim FS forums for FS9 tips and tweaks and see if any of those have an effect. Also check for updtaes for your chipset and graphic card drivers, motherboard BIOS and other hardware. Also most stutters are eventually traced to background processes runing while FS is loaded. You might want to check those out too.Allcott

Thank you Allcott for your suggestions. I will follow your advise and check whether there is anything causing my problem, besides the aircraft itself.I think that my drivers (bios and graphics) are pretty well up to date, but I will check for recent updates. What I think is strange is that it does not happen with the B25, or other rather heavy aircrafts, such as the A320, with Eric's panel, or the Fanda Dash 8.As for other background processes, I have a clean boot system dedicated to FS9, so there no unnecessary processes running.Regards,

Hi to all... I have the same problem, only with this aircraft... Yoshimi
