December 28, 200223 yr Im very new to flight simulator and here people talking about AI. Can someone please tell me what AI means? Thanks in advance Simon Irvine
December 28, 200223 yr hi scotthey are talking about the other aircraft that move around in fs2002.ie: when sitting at an airport if you have ATC switched on you will see other aircraft taxiing and taking off, also landing as well.addons like Mytraffic and ProjectAI have updated the AI so the aircraft use real liveries and the correct aircraft at the correct airport..bit confusing to begin with .but worth the effort in the end.i use mytraffic, its a payware program, but very easy to use and does all the hard work.bare in mind it does need quite a fast computer to run well. hope this helps a bit steve
December 28, 200223 yr Sure. It means Artificial Intelligence and it refers to the unpersoned planes you may see in your airspace, depending on how you have FS configured. They're programmed into FS to make your flying experience a little more realistic. If you really want to get into it, you can add additional AI activity to your flights. Do a search for AI.Chuck
December 28, 200223 yr Author I have been playing with adding AI since TTools came out, mostly GA, but only recently decide to go the Heavy route and used the new PAI installer and it is amazing, easy install, great results, and yes, you do need a good PC, even though they are Framerate friendly aircraft, the amount takes it's toll. Pretty sweet to be at the default KLAX with 5 overlays, all 4 runways in use and every gate filled, ATC can't keep up! LOL Once you understand how it all works, and the utilities involved (TTools, AFCAD, AITM, etc,) there is so much you can do to enhance your Fs world.Regards, Michael Best, Michael KDFW
