June 17, 200718 yr Hi all, Having used the MAAM B25 since its release for FS 2002 with no real problems , I have changed FS from 2002 to FS 2004 and used a different drive from the normal C drive, to D drive. Reason being C drive was totally full and D drive had 150 Gigs to play with. I also updated the B25 with the 2004 upgrade. Selecting the b25 , a popup appears stating the gauges are incompatible. Clicking the ok to continue, freezes my computer. The only way to get out of the program , is to shut down the computer. I have the gauges.DLL=1 info in FS CFG file and saved, to no avail. There appears to be no update (fix) for this in the 2004 upgrade. However i still have a lot of 2002 and some 2000 a/c that have no gauge problems at all in 2004. I have read in a previous forum that there may be a problem in that the MAAM a/c should be run in C drive ? If so , is there a way it can be made to function in another drive, or is there something that the execute folder places in C and not D drive as directed? Any help will be very much appreciated and also fix my withdrawl symptoms. Charles
June 17, 200718 yr Hello Charles,>I have the gauges.DLL=1 info in FS CFG file and saved, to no>avail.I've never heard of gauges.dll=1...I think you need this lines in your fs9.cfg:(OldModules) :)GreetingsTim Greetings Tim My files on Flightsim.to i5 12600K | 32Gb | RTX 4080
June 20, 200718 yr Hi Tim,Thanks for your info, however I have checked my settings as you suggested ,and found that they match all your info ,BUT I still have the problem that FS will not accept the MAAM_B25 gaugesSee attached below...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174022.jpgEverything else works perfect. I have deleted the B25 and reloaded the whole aircraft twice and have the same result. Also I don't know why , when clicking on the popup OK , that my computer then freezes totally. The only way iI can fly the B25 is to remove the gauges and fly without them at this time.Has anyone faced this problem? The gauges were downloaded from the disc as with every other component , so I believe they could not be corrupted on a fresh reload.Any ideas? Charles
June 21, 200718 yr Hi Tim,Found the problem with the gauges not showing on an other post. The fix was to place the FSsound.dll in the Main folder ...and not the in the Modules folder as stated in the disc download. It also fixes the MAAM C47 the same way.Charles
June 21, 200718 yr Glad you are sorted, Charles, although that's a curious solution, indeed. FSSound.dll does belong in the MODULES folder, and works for most this way, for sure.I can only think that possibly your 'Old Modules' entry is incorrectly written in the FS9.CFG file, or that you are using an older version of FSSound.dll that some other installation has installed over ours. Mine is version 1.6.0.15, dated 2004.... what's yours?MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cx.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/avsimlogo.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
June 22, 200718 yr Hi Mark,Everything is running just fine now and yes it was frustrating as I loaded from the disc 3 X, with the same results as my previous picture posted , following the instructions in the read me.The FSSound.Dll is dated 12/02/2003 Version 1.5.0.2 which is from the original disc. This one may have clashed with FS2004 in the Modules file but works great when placed in the Main folder. Why it does, is beyond me,but I'm very happy it does.Charles
