December 31, 200223 yr Hi folks, can anyone help me in adjusting PB car distance from the aircraft? Everytime i start a new flight i have the same trouble in finding the correct value to insert in the box (-, +, 100, 200, 300,.....).Any input much appreciated.cheersLuigi ;-)
December 31, 200223 yr jerrycwo4Are you talking about the distance from the PB 'truck' to the Aircraft (adjustable) or after it has hooked up to the aircraft, the distance that the TB truck PUSHES to aircraft BACK over the aprion? ( also adjustable with distance and direction of the push back)jerry
December 31, 200223 yr Hi Luigi,Once you enter a distance for a particular aircraft, FSassist is supposed to remember it. This information is stored in your FSassist.cfg file. Sidney Schwartz [KPDX]Horizon Flights--flight plans and scenery for FS2002http://sidneyschwartz.homestead.com/index.html
December 31, 200223 yr Yes friends,i was talking about the distance from the PB 'truck' to the Aircraft. What i need is a starting point for example for the DF 737-400 w/o having to experiment (and crash!!!) too much.thanks a lotLuigi ;-)
January 1, 200323 yr Go the realism settings for the aircraft you're working with and turn "detect collisions" off...that will prevent the plane from "crashing" into the pb truck. Then you can experiment with setting the distance. The recommended distance for the default 737 is 1300.Sidney Schwartz [KPDX]Horizon Flights--flight plans and scenery for FS2002http://sidneyschwartz.homestead.com/index.html
January 1, 200323 yr Sidney, thx a lot for suggestion, really didn't remember i could turn off collision detection...Happy New YearLuigi ;-)
January 1, 200323 yr jerrycwo4Still trying to figgure this out, myself. I only fly the Falcon 50 (3 engine) jet and always have a small 'gap' between the push back truck and the falcon. Does anyone know the correct distance to enter for the correct space for this aircraft?jerry
