June 21, 200421 yr Hello,I ordered the CH Yoke and Pedals USB last saturday. They should arrive within 5 days. I would like to ask over from current users that after getting the package, did you feel like you expected something more or was it just as you wished? How do the pedals feel and do you like the proportional braking? Basically, how much more realistic it makes FS, lets say the 737-800 and Kingair 200, than flying them with a joystick?
June 21, 200421 yr It instantly made me a better pilot. However, I should confess, I wasn't "brought up on joystick control". I didn't spend my younger years at the arcade, playing all those games. I started flying a couple months ago and have progressed nicely. I like my yoke, especially; the pedals for me have been used mostly for the braking/steering on the ground and at takeoff.
June 22, 200421 yr They were better than I expected. Although they work without special driver or utility, I recommend experimenting with CH control manager to try and get even more out of it.I even use the yoke for car games, and even if there it improves the experience. June 22, 200421 yr LOL! Nice. I got message today from the shop that I am probably flying with it this weekend :(
June 23, 200421 yr Thanks for new answer. I actually also have Hotas Cougar right now, but its not very fun to fly 737-800 or even Cessna with it. I also dont have pedals right now, so Im using the ANT ELEV axis for rudder.
