Multiple Monitors

Featured Replies

Hi, new to the 2 monitor thing, but not new to MSFS :) Ok, I would LOVE to use multiple monitors with MSFS. I have a GForceFX5200 and have set it up for use on my primary monitor, and my FLat screen TV. I can get the desktop to show up on both monitors fine. And i can do things like clone, horizontal and vertical with the desktop in view and all is ok. But when i try to open MSFS 2004, the monitor goes to the main screen, but the TV goes black. Is there a setting for MSFS or something i dont know about? Ive been to a Gforce hardware forum, and they say i can run games on the TV instead of a monitor so i dont think it has to do with the TV.. When you say the desktop shows up on both monitors fine, is the TV display just a replica of your monitor's desktop display or is it a completely different workspace? If you are just getting a replica, and you can't change via display settings to show another workspace, chances are that your video card is not truly multimonitor capable (at least from an FS2004 perspective).FYI, my Radeon 9800 is true multimonitor capable, in that it supports two video outputs (VGA and DVI), but it also has a TV out port too.Gary
