August 24, 200421 yr Hi,yesterday I did a purchase well worth the money. I have a Sapphire Radeon 9800pro and installed an Artic Cooling Silencer V3 kit. This kit looks like on the Nvidia5900 series and blows out hot air through a slot on the PC's backside - it will block the first PCI slot this way. Installation was not very tricky and explained in detail. But,my machine is REALLY QUIET now... next to it there's an old Compaq P2 with passive-only cooling (acting as PDC), and well, the old 5400rpm HD is much louder than my whole other rig (Athlon, 3 HDD's, Radeon). I have to verify the monitor or control LED's to see if it's running.Well worth the 20 Eurobucks I spent. For legal purposes, installing the cooler will void Your guarantee and I wont take any responsibility for anything You may do or trash.Torsten

August 25, 200421 yr As said, I have the Saphire Atlantis model, which is not really quiet due to a rather small heatsink by default. Other (higher-priced)Radeons may be on this noise level direct "from the factory".Torsten
