September 4, 200421 yr Have a read about the new ATI Catalyst Control Center http://www.rage3d.com/content/previews/sof.../aticcc/?page=4The following paragraph refers to the VPU"VPU Recover is used to detect when the graphics processor is no longer able to respond to display driver commands. VPU Recover attempts to reset the graphics processor so that users are able to continue using their computer. You have the option to turn it on/off as well as sending error reports to ATI"I have a 9700 Pro and X800 Pro and have never used VPU recover as it can cause problems on some systems.
