landing lights and vc cockpit

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I have a small problem i'm trying to figure out.As from tonight i suddenly have no more landing lights visible from the 2d cockpit, also when in 2d cockpit and quick viewing with numeric keys, i don't see the virtual cockpit anymore (seems related).Checked the fs9.cfg file but couldn't find anything.Could someone help?I have cat 4.8 and directX 9.0c installedsystem:athlon 3200xp512 mb pc3200 ddr ramati radeon 9800proasus a78nx-x mainboardwindows xp sp1

hellothe only thing I can suggest is to get rid of the current fs9.cfg and re start fs9 so it makes a new one, just a thoughthope this helpsSteve.

look in your fs9.cfg file for the entry SEE_SELF=1, make sure it is not SEE_SELF=0, if it is change it to SEE_SELF=1 and you'll be ok.

Thanx guys, just changed the setting and it worked ,as for the lights i unchecked, applied than checked the box landing lights in the settings menu; everything back to normal. And yeah, i recon i did know there are more astronauts than concorde pilots.By the way, I have read a new discussion about agp aperture size and always had it on 128 mb.Just for the heck of it, I tried putting it all the way down to 32 mb.Guess what?fps increased by +/- 5 and ALL games, especially fs2004 and LOMAC run considerbly more smooth.Had a discission with my brother who is an IT specialist, he sad it is impossible because all the agp aperture setting does is setting the amount of phisical memory to use when the video card runs out. Then he tried it anyway, and guess what - he was simply amazed!!!(Told me maybe a problem with reverse adressing in directX9.0c or windowsXP - or something - ).I will post this in this forum....greeting,Anthony (Helicopter engineer for the dutch navy)
