November 18, 200421 yr Dear all, I bought what i thought would be the ultimate fs system around 14 months back. Sadly from day one it has been a dissapointment. Despite getting very acceptable frame rates i have always had a constant stuttering problem whenever i turn an aircraft(be it in the air or the ground). This problem exists in fs2002,fs2004 and cfs3.I also experience stuttering in msts. I have followed every bit of advice on the net starting from turning my anti-virus off to adding more ram. In between i have removed my sound card, pulled out and reinstalled my graphics card, messed with every possible graphics setting in my pc and downloaded every damm driver and bios updates i could lay my hands on. But the problem still persists. I am at the point of going in for a new system. Is there anything else at all that i can do?. This has been a very frustrating experience. I am open to ANY suggestion. I dont want to leave any stone unturned before i finaly abandon this system. My system specs:p4 2.4ghzasus p4xp mother board256+512 mb ddr ramBaracooda 80 gb hd128mb asus v9520 magic(fx5200 agp card)microsoft xp home RegardsBharath Narayan
November 18, 200421 yr I don't think you need an entirely new system but the FX5200 is shite. I think that if you get a faster videocard like a Geforce 6800 or Radeon X800 you'd get much smoother performance. The CPU isn't exactly the fastest in the world either but a new videocard would definitely improve things. -
November 19, 200421 yr "I dont want to leave any stone unturned before i finaly abandon this system."Please post a screen shot of your Task Manager (press CTRL/ALT/Delete, then click on the "Processes" tab) so we can see what processes are running while your system as at desktop (idle w/ no apps open). Thanks,Greg

November 20, 200421 yr You really just need a new video card. Radeon 9800 PRO if your on a budget or if you got the cash go for a x800.
