I have ATi Radeon 9550XT with Latest Omega Driver installed. It's great, but on FS2004 Aircraft selection screen the rotation of the aircraft move very slow, does anyone know what caused this ? also what's the best ATi driver to use for FS2004 ? I am a new ATi user.Thanks.

wrong forum, try the hardware forum

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

This really annoys me...why can't anyone give their suggestion ? instead a person telling me the wrong forum, please just give me straight answer.I won't bother to post this in the hardware forum, if the admins/mods feel like moving this thread to hardware forum, please do so.

"...why can't anyone give their suggestion?"Uhhh, because nobody has one?? I've never heard of your problem but if you want to take a wild stab at it, here goes...You say you're new to ATI, so I'll assume (becuase you failed to give this relevant info) that you were using an nVidia card. Use this utility http://www.drivercleaner.net/ to clean your registry of nVidia driver remnants. Next, you should use the Add/Remove function in Windows to delete the current ATI drivers, and then go into Device Manager and Uninstall both video adapters (yes, that's right... Uninstall them both). Reboot back into Safe Mode and again use Driver Cleaner to wipe any remnants of the ATI drivers out of your registry.NOTE!!! Follow the instructions precisely when using Driver Cleaner. Failure to do so will mean that your cleaning efforts will be wasted and remnants will remain. After rebooting into Windows you'll see two install windows... for the primary and secondary adapters. Cancel them both and then navigate to your drivers and do the installs manually. Again, you did not mention which of the "latest" Omega drivers you installed, but the 2.5.76's are very stable.Hope this helps,Greg

Thank you, Greg :)Sorry for a bit of my outburst, in the past I posted message in this forum, no one reply :(Anyway, that latest Omega driver sometimes makes the texture blurred, I mean the ground textures (grass, airport textures and etc) goes blurred.and as I was asking why the rotation of the aircraft on the aircraft selection screen is slow, it's not usual and I cannot move the aircraft manually there. The blurred problem really annoys me :PPlease help.Thanks.

"The blurred problem really annoys me"This could be any number of things. Did you use Driver Cleaner to wipe the video driver garbage from your registry? You need to make sure you've preoperly cleaned the previous card's drivers as well as the ATI drivers you now have on board. Clean it all away! After that, I recommend that you remove your FS9.cfg and allow the sim to rebuild a new one with your ATI card listed. What version of Omega's are you using?Greg

sorry to offend you...I would love to suggest a fix but can offer none, thus my suggestion to go to the hardware forum. I know several folks there who specialize in these type of questions who never or rarely visit this forum.I just thought you would have better luck in the other forumplease accept my apologies.:-)

Im also new to ATI cards ( like 2 days ) and I just installed a 9800pro. I spent hours ( just about a full day ) playing around with settings and so on. Now it runs like a dream! Here is what I worked out.1. Install ati tray tool http://www.radeon2.ru/atitray/2. Right click on ATI tray tools in the task bar at the bottom right of screen ( red box looking ikon ) then up to 3D and then Settings.set the followingAnti-Aliasing = 6xAnistropic Filtering = 16x & then check the Performance tabTexture Preference = High QualityMipMap Detail Level = Hight QualityWait for Vertical Sync = Application Preference Truform = Application PreferenceRefresh Rate override = DisableSave the Profile as fs.Apply then click okGo back to the ATI Tray tool ikon ( that red box at the bottom right side of the screen ) and right click on it and go up too Game Profiles, then manage profiles. In the Executable box browse to the FS9.exe in the main fs2004 folder. In the load Profiles click on 3D and then set it to FS on that pulldown box. Then click close.NOTE! I had to set my hardware rendered lights in the FS settings display to 7. Whan at 8 my aircraft would go invisible when I put on the Nav lights.

You might want to check whether antialiasing is checked with the sim's display settings. If so, uncheck it and check it inside the driver's controlpanel. Somehow the application AA in FS is not compatible with a lot of drivers. I would not set it to any higher setting as 4x as the performance hit is huge.Alex
