Does FS9 run on an Apple Computer?

Featured Replies

Hi, i was wondering if FS9 would run on an Apple G5 computer? I know, it has no Windows, but i heard there is kinda Windows emulation. If it does run, is the performance good?Thank you and cheers,Michael

Michael,FS9 is based on DirectX 9. G5's and the like run OpenGL. I have already thought about this theory greatly. A relative of mine just bought a dual 2.5GHz processor G5. Those computers are amazing, but if you can't play FS9 on them they are worthless to me.Art

Thanks, Art!Yes, its a dream machine.... but i agree with you, if it doesn't run MSFS, its worthless for me. Too bad!Cheers,Michael

Well MacOS sure is much nicer than Windows. Other than that I don't really think Macs are dream machines. A dual Opteron system would eat the G5 for breakfast. Plus there's actually some software available for PC's :)
